I wrote another quilt pattern guys!!! I’m really excited to share it with you all!  It’s been taking up all of my creative time and energy and it’s been so incredibly exhausting however totally rewarding! I really love this design and the way it comes together! It is versatile, and works well with both prints and solids.

My Road Trip Redux pattern is the first quilt pattern I’ve written using serious graphics, charts, tables, etc., achieving Adobe Illustrator.  This was a whole new learning experience for me and, to be honest,  I felt like I was back in college it was so hard!  But I did it…. that is, enough to write an awesome quilt pattern for you all, I still have volumes to learn….on ongoing process I’m sure!

While the pattern writing was hard and I now have a few more gray hairs, the quilt itself was so fun to create! I took my original Road Trip Quilt design and worked it out a bit to create something a bit more intricate.  In my first go around with it (pictured here), I used all half square triangles.  While this is a perfectly fine way to construct this quilt, I wanted a design that would have less seams, allow the quilter to build some new skills with a variety of block units, and help this quilt come together really quickly and easily!

So while this design might look involved and challenging, it’s really quite doable, and I give step by step instructions and graphics throughout.  This quilt pattern is suitable for a confident beginner, with a bit of prior quilting experience, up to the most advanced quilter.

I have included a coloring sheet to help plan out your own color placement/palette and fabric requirements and instructions for two different size quilts.

I had some of the best pattern testers help me out with this pattern and they created some beautiful finishes.  You can head over to my Instagram to check out some of their work samples as well as more photos of the Road Trip Redux Quilt.  I am so grateful for their helpful feedback, which allowed me to create a pattern I feel so great about and can’t wait to share with all of you!

This pattern will be live in my shop on August 1!
