I was recently curious about one of my very favorite quilt artists Jess Berrett. When I visited her site, I discovered this inspiring TED talk. It was so timely for me as I have been feeling so creatively limited (which is why you haven’t heard much from me in a while).

I thought I’d share the video as well. We all get “stuck” sometimes and feel limited or blocked. I love the idea of embracing that limitation, whatever it may be,  and seeing it as an opportunity to create in a new and different way, get outside my “box”. This applies to so many aspects of daily life as well as art and creativity, doesn’t it?

When it comes to feeling/being limited creatively, I wonder what do you all do?  It’s likely that limitations are what have led to so many great works right?  Is it really just a matter of “seizing it” as Phil Hanson suggests?

Thank you Jess, for this great share! I’m happy to pass it along…….
