Hi there! I thought I’d pop in real quick between, preparing cranberry sauce and a pie or two, to post my excitment over finishing a quilt top!
I seem to be getting so little done these days in my sewing room that even though this quilt isn’t “officially” a finish, I have to count it as one… :-)) I’m really happy with how it turned out and look forward to quilting it. I wasn’t sure about all that white space again and debated on filling in the center with another flock, in the end I decided to go for a more minimal approach. I like how modern and clean, yet fun and colorful if turned out!
Setting this design ‘on point’ was new for me and if there is an “right” way to do it, I probably didn’t use it, but it worked out anyway- with a lot of leftover fabric I must admit! You can see I almost ran out of my white background fabic and ened up having to piece together one corner. Pretty sure that will not be noticed after I complete the quilting! I am excited to get this quilt basted and put a bright and happy binding on it.
Now, back to those cranberries….
For all who celebrate Thanksgiving, may it be filled with love, laughter, much gratitude and of course lots of yummy food!!
