Hello and welcome to a new week! I hope you all enjoyed a great weekend.
I was recently at my local knit shop to get some help finishing a project.
The owner, who has so kindly rescued me from many knitting mishaps, noticed the bag I was using to hold my knitting project-I made a few last year just for fun. They have been great as gifts for friends and teachers.
Anyway, she graciously offered to display and hopefully sell them in her shop, if I felt like making some more. Well, not sure why it has taken me so long to take her up on this but……
this weekend I finally decided to get busy creating. Oh what fun! I based them mostly on Anna’s awesome tutorial.
Compared to creating a quilt, these pouches are such creative instant gratification!!
I love being able to blend my favorite fabrics into something so functional and versatile, much like we all do with our quilts, but with these you get to enjoy the finished product so relatively fast.
So far I’ve kept them pretty simple and straightforward, but I love all the creative options that are possible. My plan this week is to create some quilted ones with some fun piecing in them. Gotta love a little pouch variety!
Please go on over and check out one I’ve listed in my shop!! I’m also happy to create a one of a kind pouch just for you!
Happy Monday all….

love those bags and the fabric you used
That’s great, Karen!! The bags are gorgeous and so much better than a crappy grocery bag for toting projects – I’m sure they’ll all find great homes. 🙂
Very pretty! Zippered pouches are so useful and fun to make. Good luck to you! May I ask, where do you have your labels made?
So cute, Karen! Of course your fabric selection is spot-on, as always!
