One of the things I love about knitting is that it’s portable.

Unlike my quilting projects, I can take my knitting bag, or just one little project in a pouch, with me. I have found Anna of Noodlehead’s  Open Wide Zipper Pouch to be so perfect as a little holder for smaller projects.   I find myself home less often as the girl and I are getting more and more involved in school, playdates and extra curricular activities (Miss K’s Nutcracker performance is fast approaching).  We are on the go– a lot!!  So I love that I can just throw my knitting bag in the car with us.

One of my many ongoing projects is this sweet little beret.  I’m using this lovely Canopy Fingering weight blend in Quetzal.  I have been enjoying the slow process of taking my knitting to another level, just as I continue to do in my quilting- and when I say slow, I mean SLOW- Ha!!

I’ve had this little inspiration stack and a new design in mind for some time (ever since I made the pouch above), but alas, it continues to sit untouched** deep sigh***  I look forward to getting back to a little more consistent quilting rhythm soon……

but for now I’ll stick to my knitting.  It looks like I’ll be able to give lots of knitted gifts this holiday season!!

Hope you all have a great weekend!
