Post a commentKaren, I LOVE the Into the Mist quilt! It’s so contemporary. Is it for sale??
Hello, I am looking for a modern quilt pattern to make for our newly decorated bedroom in the “Madmen” style. I really like your “Sing it Out Loud” quilt and the “Passing Showers,” and “Into the Mist.” Do you sell patterns for these quilts?
Thanks so much I’m glad you like those quilts, they happen to be some of my favorites! Unfortunately I do not have or make patterns for them. They are all one of a kind pieces that were created through an improvisational process that I often use, in this way the quilt sort of develops as I go. If you have any interest in working on a commissioned piece I would be happy to discuss that option with you. I am considering a way to create patterns for some of my improv style quilts in the future. Thanks for your interest! I hope that answers your question!
Wow. The quilted circles are divine! Did you do the quilting on a home machine? I am guessing that you marked the first circle and simple went out from there. Is this how you quilt the giant circles? Seriously awesome!
(whoops…simply went out from there.)
Thank you!! Yes I have always done them on my home machine. I do mark the first circle. You can find more information about the process on my Concentric Circles Quilting Tutorial! Enjoy!
